Job description

All training will be provided, in particular we are looking for someone who can meet the following; The duties of a Care Home Assistant can vary greatly, depending on the needs of their clients. For instance, a Care Home Assistant who takes care of a terminally ill patient in their home may have different duties to another who works in a care home for young adults with learning disabilities. Generally, their main duties include: Helping clients with administrative tasks, such as paying their bills or responding to emails personal care ordering medication Preparing meals and helping patients eat their food Checking that patients take their prescribed medicine** Helping patients maintain their dignity by styling their hair or doing their makeup** Monitoring the condition of patients by taking their temperature, pulse and weight** light physio ** Listening to patients and providing them with relevant feedback and support** chaperone to hospital appointments Updating patients’ charts and daily notes to keep track of their progress** Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Fixed term contract, Temporary contract, Freelance Contract length: 12 months Part-time hours: 48 per week Salary: £15.97-£18.10 per hour Benefits: Casual dress Company events Company pension Employee discount Flexitime Free or subsidised travel Gym membership On-site parking Referral programme Store discounts Wellness programmes Schedule: 12 hour shift Supplemental pay types: Bonus scheme Commission pay Loyalty bonus Performance bonus Quarterly bonus Signing bonus COVID-19 considerations: All Candidates are required to follow strict Company Policy and Procedures at all times, Medicare will always follow Government health guide Lines, and communicate this to all employees Ability to commute/relocate: Birmingham, West Midlands: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred) Education: GCSE or equivalent (required) Experience: Basic life support: 1 year (preferred) Language: English (preferred) Work authorisation: United Kingdom (required) Willingness to travel: 50% (preferred)
