HCL (Holistic Care) Ltd is a Care Quality Commission (CQC) registered Domiciliary care/ Supported Living Service.
We provide person-centred care and support for vulnerable adults with mental health needs, learning disabilities, eating disorders, autism, challenging behaviour and substance misuse.
Working alongside other agencies and within the Transforming Care agenda, HCL(Holistic Care) Ltd supports our service users to build their ambition to thrive in their local community. We provide support for service users from low secure hospital discharge to independent living across the South East. HCL (Holistic Care) Ltd enables our service users to find homes most suitable for their needs by making sure that local amenities, public transport, and education & employment facilities are easily accessible for our service users.
Job description
HCL (Holistic Care) Ltd is providing domiciliary care and Support living services. We looking for support workers from the local community/close to the Gillingham area.
The ethos of our firm is to provide a homely and family-like environment to our service users who are also encouraged and supported wherever possible to participate fully in the local community. They may require assistance with cooking, cleaning, going to leisure activities, doctor's appointments, the shops, or the park, etc.
Job Role
- To assist clients in all activities of daily living according to their individual care plans.
- To offer appropriate support physical, emotional and psychological to individual clients, supporting clients to manage their personal care and health needs.
- To assist all our clients in the areas of nutritional and cultural requirements.
- To assist service users who need help with getting up, dressing, undressing, washing, bathing, and the toilet.
- To organize and provide appropriate support for clients preparing to move on to greater independence.
- To ensure that service users are as fully involved in decisions which affect them individually.
- To contribute to the protection of clients from abuse, reporting any bad practices.
- To ensure that client’s personal property and clothing is maintained to a high standard, reporting any issues to the Registered Manager.
- To support & escort clients to appointments, day trips, short breaks, places of worship, and other social settings.
- To assist in creating a warm, stimulating, and welcoming environment where our clients can grow and achieve their potential.
Knowledge and Experience
Essential
An interest in working in Health and Social care services
Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing.
Willingness to complete an Level 3 Diploma in adult care or equivalent qualification.
Able to demonstrate respect, openness, and accountability.
Physically fit and able to carry out all duties, e.g., escorting, sporting activities, etc.
Desirable
Previous experience of working/studying in care.
Experience or knowledge of caring for people.
Full driving license.
Competent in the use of Microsoft Office applications.
