Job Title - Support Worker
Location - Lonsdale House, Lichfield Road, Walsall, WS4 2DH
Hourly rate - £10.82 Day - £11.02Nights
Contract type - Permanent
Working hours -28 hrs
07:30 to 15:30 ( Medication shift ),09:00 to 17:00, 14:00 to 22:00 Monday to Friday,13:30 to 21:30 Saturday and Sunday
13: 30 to 23:00 This is a sleep in shift and 07:00 to 11:30 Sunday to Thursday
15:30 to 23:00 This is a sleep in shift and 07:00 to 13: 30 Friday and Saturday
Occasionally to cover Holidays and sickness there is a waking night shift 21:30 to 07:30
Shifts will be any 4 days including weekends and bank holidays so would need to be flexible.

About the Service
Lonsdale House provides a home for men and women aged over 18 who are preparing to move onto greater independence, but who need help because of the effects of mental ill health.
In your new role as Support Worker, you will:
- Build relationships with Residents, which are open and two way
- Support Residents to undertake their daily routines
- Establish methods of communication with residents, reducing barriers when necessary
- Accurately report and/or record work activities
- Support with activities of daily living & personal care
- Assist residents with mealtimes where necessary.
As Support Worker, you will ideally have:
- Experience working within a Care environment (Advantageous but not essential as full induction training will be given)
- A warm hearted, friendly manner, patience, kindness and good communication, a willingness to help others, requiring patience
- An open and honest character, respectful and celebrate diversity, connect with colleagues and residents to celebrate uniqueness
- The ability to be a natural care giver and someone who can communicate in an open and honest manner with your colleagues, residents and their visitors
