We are now looking for an Accounts Receivable Clerk to join us on a permanent, full-time basis.
The Role
As an Accounts Receivable Clerk, you will support our financial health through the smooth and efficient processing of customer payments.
You will take ownership of the aged debtors ledger, taking the lead on the monthly debt review meeting. Working with the finance team, you will chase overdue debt, ensuring queries are documented and resolved in a timely and professional manner.
Checking Bankline daily, you will process customer receipts, refunds and transfers, carry out bank reconciliations, and reconcile Income Control Accounts weekly. You will set up and administer Customer Portals and Customer Accounts, always complying with our month-end closure timetable.
About You
To be considered as an Accounts Receivable Clerk, you will need:
- Experience working in a similar accounts receivable role, demonstrating a high level of customer care and attention to detail in all aspects of work
- Experience influencing others, with the ability to adjust your communications style
- The ability to deal with internal and external queries confidently, demonstrating excellent communication skills
- The ability to maintain confidentiality and be sensitive and diplomatic
- Good administration and organisational skills with the ability to manage and conflicting priorities
- Proficient numeracy skills ensuring financial records are maintained to a high standard with attention to detail
- A good level of IT literacy, especially with MS Office suite
- Salary of circa £24,000 per annum, depending on experience
