Job description
We are seeking a talented and creative Video Editor to join our LNN team. The Video Editor will be responsible for editing and producing high-quality videos that meet the company's standards and objectives. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of video editing principles, storytelling techniques, and a keen eye for detail. They should also be proficient in using video editing software and possess excellent communication and organizational skills.
Responsibilities:Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Editor of LNN internal episodes, external marketing and social content videos
- Primary executor of pacing, flow and storytelling arc of all video content
- Ensures that all episodes/videos are edited to the most effective lengths of time
- Conceptualizes new ideas for LNN episodes and external/social video content
- Ability to react quickly to new ideas, suggestions and news stories to be covered
- Ability to travel frequently, and on short notice when needed
- Ensures that all episodes/videos are edited to the most effective lengths of time
- Ensures that the Lennar brand and culture are always displayed and communicated properly
- Oversees review/feedback loop and revisions plus distribution of completed videos to various channels
- Provides color correction for all video content
- Provides basic audio mixing, music mixing and sound effects
- Executes compression and encoding of video content for online use
- Engages with Associates and others on camera during the interview process, in order to make them comfortable and enable them to share their most compelling thoughts
- Possesses strong attention to detail, ensuring that all names and titles that appear on screen are always correct
- Oversees distribution of completed episodes and videos to appropriate parties
- Monitors LNN episode views and external video views, with ability to adapt accordingly to maximize viewership
- Ability to edit to music with proper timing and rhythm
- Provides archiving of all LNN external video content, including raw footage and completed product
Education and Experience Requirements:
Proven experience as a Video Editor or similar role- Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or Davinci Resolve
- Strong understanding of video editing principles, including pacing, timing, and visual storytelling
- Solid knowledge of motion graphics and visual effects software (e.g., Adobe After Effects)
- Familiarity with color correction and grading techniques
- Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and a strong creative mindset
- A portfolio or demo reel showcasing previous video editing projects is highly desirable
Physical Requirements:
This is primarily a sedentary office position which requires the incumbent to have the ability to operate computer equipment, speak, hear, bend, stoop, reach, lift, and move and carry up to 25 lbs. Finger dexterity is necessary.
