An opportunity has arisen for an
to join a local authority in the West Midlands on an interim basis for at least the next 3-6 months initially.
This role will be to support with the preparation of annual revenue estimates, the monitoring of income and expenditure and annual closedown of accounts

Rate: Negotiable dependant on experience (Inside IR35 via an Umbrella Company)
Duration: 3 - 6 months initially with likely extensions
Hybrid working (West Midlands)
Role Responsibilities
- To assist with the preparation of annual revenue estimates
- To meet with budget holders to discuss their budget requirements
- To monitor income and expenditure and to draw to the attention of the Senior Accounting Technician (Business Support) any significant variation from budget
- To complete Reconciliations between systems relevant to their designated service area
- To be responsible for monitoring the daily cash flow of each authority and prepare long term cash forecasts
Role Requirements
- Experience of local authority accounting Mosaic System experience desirable
- Experience of budget preparation and final accounts closedown
- AAT qualification
