Job Duties
Are you interested in supporting multiple departments whose mission is to “protect the health and promote the wellbeing of all people in our community”? If so, the Chesterfield Health District, which provides public health services to the residents of Chesterfield County, Powhatan County, and the City of Colonial Heights, is looking for a Program Support Tech. This individual will provide advanced administrative support, to include forward facing customer service, switchboard operations, FOIA request along with technical program assistance to various departments in the district.
The Program Support Tech will serve as the contact and information resource for one or more programs including clinical, vital records and environmental health. The Program Support Tech will also perform eligibility determinations for all services available in health programs including direct support in clinical services and/or performs program and operational support duties; may serve as lead worker to direct, advise, and train others; may design and direct workflow processes; research and processes claims; collects data and prepares reports on program activities. May provide performance input regarding staff, to appropriate supervisor.
This is a full-time position and is eligible for excellent benefits. Minimum Qualifications
- Knowledge of medical office procedures, computer and software technology,
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, orally and written;
- Strong organizational skills and experience with software applications and
- Microsoft Office products (i.e. WORD, EXCEL, and database entry) and general
- Ability and experience with setting up and maintaining files & manuals
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to follow and apply established procedures and applicable policies
Preferred Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
