Job Duties
The Program Support Technician for Eastern Virginia District Office, Division of Child Support Enforcement completes administrative and programmatic duties for child support cases, engaging families for success so that they have the financial and family support they need to grow and thrive. Gathers and organizes information to meet requirements, creating and updating client records in automated systems, and processing documents in assigned case management functions. Communicates directly with clients, internal staff and external agencies as needed to obtain and convey information. Researches documentation to support actions by case management staff (establishment, court, review/adjustment and enforcement) in a timely, accurate, and complete manner and will provide direct support to the Division of Child Support Enforcement.
Minimum Qualifications
- Plan, organize, and manage multiple priorities.
- Obtain and assess information/data through interviewing.
- Independently research cases to resolve difficult problems.
- Interpret and apply policies and procedures.
- Analyze and utilize legal and financial data & automated reports.
- Communicate effectively both orally and in writing with the general public and a diverse audience.
- Perform mathematical computations.
Must be skilled in the use of a personal computer, Microsoft Office applications and automated information systems. Experience in an office environment providing customer service to the general public.
