Job description
We are currently looking for an experienced Hotel Receptionist to join our team.
This is for someone who loves hospitality and keen to ensure all guests and visitors who come to The Royal Sportsman receive a warm welcome and provide a lasting impression of the hotel.
To succeed in this role, you must be a team player with a tireless work ethic and a desire to deliver outstanding first class service.
You will be expected to:
- Present our guests with a great first impression and so a confident, well presented, articulate voice and a good knowledge of the local area is an advantage.
- Ensure that guests are greeted, checked in and allocated rooms promptly and courteously.
- Carry out cashiering, general administration duties, answering the phone and dealing with general enquiries from guests, members of the public and staff.
- Taking Room and restaurant reservations correctly and courteously.
- To ensure that enquiries, messages and bookings are dealt with courteously and efficiently.
- To ensure that incoming and outgoing telephone calls are handled promptly and courteously.

- Checking public areas, serving guests and liaising with other departments where necessary.
Knowledge, experience and skills required:
- Computer literate
- Previously worked in a hotel environment
- Good industry and local knowledge
- Self-confident & enthusiastic

- Flexible Attitude
