What we’ll love about you:
· Technical diploma or degree in computer technology from a recognized Canadian or international institution.
· Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in the IT field.
· Self-motivated and driven to learn on the job, work independently, and contribute suggestions for process improvement within a team environment.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to patiently address end-users using clear language while employing tact and diplomacy.
· Strong sense of customer service.
· Familiarity with supporting and troubleshooting Windows PCs, Smartphones, VoIP phones, and various network devices.
· Experience in administering a Microsoft 365 environment, that utilizes Exchange, SharePoint, and Teams.
· Experience in administering windows servers, virtual environments, layered networks, using various management tools.
What you’ll work on:
As an IT Support Specialist at Steelcon, you will be responsible for providing internal support and expertise across a range of technologies, including conducting installations and upgrades, offering expert assistance with critical infrastructure and software, and delivering staff training. As the primary contact for end-users' support inquiries, you will promptly address calls and emails while ensuring efficient resolution of requests.
Skills and experience in:
problem-solving skills, handle support inquiries, computer hardware, remote desktop support, customer service skills, organizational and time management skills, help desk, work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams, experience in deploying, configuring, and managing SharePoint, inter-vlan switching and routing, NG firewalls and expertise in cybersecurity practices.
