Cordoba Corporation provides project management and technical services for San Diego Gas & Electric’s New Business Department. This scope includes full-cycle project management of large multi-family projects, such as high and mid-rise apartment complexes and tract homes, as well as the management of the Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging Station Program. The EV Charging Station Program works with EV service providers like Tesla, Electrify America, and EVgo to install new electric vehicle charging stations throughout San Diego County and parts of Orange County. Cordoba Corporation also serves as the subject matter expert on Rule 45: a new tariff put forth by the California Public Utilities Commission, which allows for the utility to pay for all aspects of design, engineering, installation, and maintenance of all equipment, on the utility side of the meter, associated with EV charging stations.
The Project Support Specialist will provide support for Project Managers & Technical Planners on utility projects. The work scope typically includes general project support such as document management, project initiation, material coordination, project close out, and office tasks. Desirable traits include attention to detail, diligent work ethic, emphasis on quality control, and customer satisfaction. Level of experience levels from 0 to 3 years of experience.
- Support Project Managers & Technical Planners throughout project lifecycles by completing tasks related to project start up, organization, document control, construction support, execution and closeout efforts.
- Manage documentation and store properly in accordance with company policies.
- Capture and update project tasks in all applicable tools supporting the projects (SAP, ClickUp, P6, SmartSheet trackers, etc).
- Support meetings with clients, subcontractors, vendors and governing agencies. Responsible for notating accurate meeting notes. Upload to appropriate repository (Sharepoint, Procore). Organize communications for all project files.
- Complete data input required for California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) compliance.
- Understand project scope, project delivery, cost and schedules.
- Interface with the client and the project team to complete the assigned work within schedule.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of department and company goals. Identify and implement improvements in processes and operations, as needed.
- Participate in special projects or tasks, as required.
Qualifications:
- Good problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills required.
- Strong written and verbal English language communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
- Must be adaptable and flexible.
- Proficiency utilizing knowledge and skills with MS Office Suite (including MS-Word, MS-Excel, MS-PPT, MS-Project, MS-Outlook) and computer applications is mandatory for this position.
- Must have legal authorization to work in the U.S.A. on a full-time basis without sponsorship.
- Ability to pass a pre-authorized physical including a drug-screening and background check is required.
- A high level of personal integrity and a strong work ethic are required.
- General understanding of utility design and construction preferred.
- High school diploma or GED required, secondary education preferred.
- Salary Range: $20.00-$40.00 per hour.
