Your prowess will shine as you manage a dynamic portfolio of claims, ranging impressively between £25,000 to £75,000, encompassing both litigated and non-litigated cases.

But that's not all — as you guide these claims to their rightful resolution, you will also collaborate closely with our esteemed large loss department on cases extending up to a remarkable £100,000.

What will I be doing?

  • Thorough Claim Handling: Diligently assess indemnity, investigate liability, and evaluate quantum on motor claims. Your commitment to comprehensive claim management will play a pivotal role in optimizing indemnity expenditure.
  • Communication: Your adept communication skills will shine as you interact with customers, ensuring fair treatment and delivering world-class customer service aligned with both industry and company standards.
  • Efficient Caseload Management: Proactively overseeing a caseload, expertly managing correspondence and tasks within the specified Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Strategic Settlement Negotiations: Display your negotiation finesse while reaching settlements for third-party claims, a skill that directly impacts the resolution process.
  • Enhancing Customer Experience: Identify process and control gaps within the legal defense panel's performance, paving the way for improved customer claims experiences. Collaboratively devise and implement corrective actions.
  • Technical Expertise & Market Awareness: Maintain a high level of technical expertise, staying current with market trends and legal updates that shape the landscape of your work.
  • Vendor Relationship Cultivation: Forge robust working relationships with suppliers, fostering collaboration that enriches the overall claims process.
  • Reinsurer Reporting: Meticulously update and report Reinsurers' reportable claims to the Senior Management, ensuring transparency and accuracy in the reporting process.
  • Supporting Efficiency Initiatives: Contribute your insights and skills to projects aimed at enhancing cost-effectiveness, service quality, and procedural efficiency across the department.
  • Complex Case Referrals: Address referrals from the PI department, showcasing your expertise as you handle cases with a value of £25,000 and above.

What do I need?

  • Experience: Desirable to have a minimum of 2 years hands-on experience in handling Technical personal injury claims, showcasing your expertise in this intricate domain.
  • Communication Proficiency: Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills, coupled with the ability to confidently negotiate. Your communication finesse will be a cornerstone of your success.
  • Time Management and Organization: Demonstrate exceptional time management and organizational skills, ensuring that you can efficiently juggle multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Attention to Detail: Display a keen eye for detail and an unwavering commitment to accuracy, underlining your dedication to meticulous work.
  • Effective Time Management: Showcase your prowess in managing your time effectively, a skill that will be crucial in meeting deadlines and maintaining efficient operations.

  • In-depth Knowledge: Possess a strong understanding of indemnity, liability, and quantum issues, bolstering your capacity to navigate the complexities of claims.
  • Comprehensive Claims Handling: Demonstrate a comprehensive grasp of cradle-to-grave claims handling, encompassing various aspects such as:
    • Personal injury claims (MOJ/OIC Scottish and fast track)
    • Advanced liability
    • Credit hire
    • Fraud awareness
    • Principles of indemnity
    • Requirements under the RTA and Article 75
