Job Title: Teaching Support Officer (Animal Care)
Location: Cambridge
Working Hours: 37 per week
Salary: £20,451 - £20,640 per annum
CWA have an incredible opportunity to join our team at our Cambridge campus for a Teaching Support Officer in Animal Care on a full-time basis (part-time or job share considered).
Our specialist companion animal care centre is home to over 200 animals ranging from livestock to exotic animals, small and large, which our staff and students have regular access to. Our animals include birds, reptiles, amphibians, and mammals. Our animal care courses ensure that our students leave us with the scientific, practical and administrative skills they need for their careers in animal care. This campus is really all about the animals and has a real community feel to it. We are passionate about our animals and the education and training we provide to our students- the next generation of animal care specialists.
In addition, our Cambridge campus also boasts a wide range of facilities including indoor and outdoor horse riding arenas, an equine therapy centre, a specialist animal and veterinary nursing clinical skills are and our very own dog grooming parlour.
You will support a range of classes and courses within the Faculty and Programme Area. You must a Level 2 qualification in Animal Care or in a related subject and have relevant industry experience. You must hold a Level 2 English and Maths (GCSE A*-C/9-4) or equivalent or be willing to obtain within 18 months of employment.
As well as further education, we also offer higher education courses here, with a bespoke ‘campus within a campus’ exclusively available for HE students to use.
