Job description
- Work with students through an integrated STEAM curriculum;
- Collaborate with grade level teachers to assist in building STEAM activities to support student mastery;
- Collaborate with Fine Arts and Instructional Technology to design / deliver long-term problem/project based lessons and engaging students in science and engineering practices;
- Encourage student self-expression through science and engineering exploration and arts integration;
- Serve as a support to teachers working to integrate PBLs and fine art sin their daily instruction;
- Serve as a liaison for other support services that can assist the student;
- Communicate effectively within the educational community for the support of students, parents, teachers, and other stakeholders;
- Attends programs, meetings and educational conferences as necessary or required;
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the principal.
- Bachelor's Degree in Education/Master's Degree preferred.
- Candidates must be certified in, or eligible for certification in education.
- School-based experience is required.
- Must have experience in designing and delivering problem/project based learning in STEM or STEAM elementary/middle environment
- Any alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent and Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
- 195-day work year; Salary based on certification and experience.

- This is a temporary position that will end at the conclusion of the grant cycle.
Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight; to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard; to travel to other locations using various modes of private and commercial transportation; and to verbally communicate to exchange information.
