Supply Chain & Logistics is at the heart of our business. To give you an idea of how this Supply Chain & Logistics placement role would look and feel, here are some things you could expect to do:

  • Get involved in real meaningful work – you will lead and deliver projects to save costs, lessen our environmental footprint and improve service to our customers.
  • Work cross functionally with finance, forecasting & planning, merchandisers, supply chain development, stores, procurement and our 3PL providers to produce the best results for the business and yield the best service for our customers.
  • Exposure to senior level meetings – produce work to support top level decision making and sit in on multimillion pound contract negotiations.
  • Enjoy monthly Dunelm listening & learning events – an excellent opportunity to network with colleagues all around the business, learn more about industry wide challenges and innovations, and have lots of fun taking part in external site visits, drive an HGV and much more!
  • Alongside your role, you will take part in Dunelm’s development program teaching key skills such as effective communication, emotional intelligence, decision making and people leadership.

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • A genuine interest and passion for supply chain & logistics
  • Strong analytical thinking with a natural tendency to question the “why” and the “how”
  • Ability to build relationships within your team and across the wider business
  • A self-starter, able to demonstrate high levels of initiative and motivation
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills: the ability to effectively interact with others
  • The ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as take initiative independently
  • Working towards a degree in an appropriate discipline (Business Studies, Supply Chain, Transportation & Logistics, etc…)
  • On track to achieve a minimum 2:1 in your chosen degree.
