Purpose of Role:
The Central Supply Chain Team is accountable for critical activities like planning, data & analytics, operational excellence, supply chain business systems development and supporting the realisation of Primark’s supply chain vision.
As a Supply Chain Planning Analyst you will be responsible for supporting the Senior Planning Analyst in providing key data analysis, robust forecasts and accurate capacity plans to the Supply Chain operational teams and other internal stakeholders
Reports to: Network Planning and MIS Manager
Based: Hybrid Working: Mainly WFH. Office location: Islip or Reading
Duration: Permanent
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the preparation of robust forecasts and tactical plans across Primark’s global distribution network
- Collect, interpret and analyse structured and unstructured data, from a myriad of systems, to deliver insights to support strategic business decision making
- Preparation of regular reporting packs to support internal and external review meetings
- Work with cross functional teams to produce analytical insights that help drive the short and medium term operational and capacity plans
- Co-ordinate the planning of key events with the operational teams across the end to end supply chain
- Undertake a variety of administrative tasks and ad-hoc analysis as required
- Learn and develop the technical and analytical skills required to fully support the Supply Chain Team
- Support the maintenance and development of a digital model of Primark’s supply chain network
Knowledge, skills, experience
- Demonstrable experience as a data analyst, or similar, within a FMCG retail supply chain environment
- An aptitude and passion for insights through analysis, including the curation of data and the provision of value-added commentary
- Knowledge of analytics and BI platforms (e.g. Alteryx, Tableau, Power BI) – Training will be provided
- Knowledge of Data Extract, Transform & Load (ETL) skills is preferable
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
