ITV Apprentice-Talent Payments Assistant
Department- Talent Payments
Office location- ITV MediaCityUK, Manchester
Working pattern - Hybrid
Duration: 21 months (This is a full time role from Monday to Friday - 37.5 hours per week)
Contract - Fixed Term Contract
Qualification: Level 3 Customer Service Specialist
Hiring range: Manchester salary is £21,325

The team
Talent Payments pay Primary and Secondary payments for 'in front' of camera Talent from Mrs Miggins who sits on the sofa of This Morning to the legend Will I Am who sits in the swivel chair on The Voice....Pay the 360 degree exploitation of all our titles.
We speak to, email and any other communications in between with agents and talent over a lifetime of ITV programming.
In Front of camera Talent are Writers, Artists, Musicians, Rights holders, Licence to use material, Facility fees. Behind the camera is taken care of by Payroll.
We have a bespoke 'in house' payments system which was specifically designed and built by the people who use it, and is used by the whole of ITV.
We deal with the Talent Unions and abide by their rules and regulations. We comply with HMRC regulations and so much more in between

The role
- Interaction with multiple areas
- Interaction with multiple strands of seniority
- Ways of communication
- How to prepare communications
- How to interpret a contract
- How to understand Union agreements
- Introduction to VAT and self billing agreements
- Good practice on safeguarding personal details of the Talent
- How to prepare and distribute reports
- How to be courteous in adverse situation
- Understanding of GDPR
Skills you’ll need (minimum criteria)
- Able to use initiative to establish the cause of problems and resolve issues effectively.
- Able to self develop
- Good level of numerical analytical ability.
- Good communication skills and professional telephone manner; able to engage and build relationships with people of differing levels of seniority.
- Ability to collaboratively work in a team to deliver objectives
- Highly customer focused; excellent customer service skills; able to instil a sense of customer focus in others.
- Proactively focused on process improvement; motivated to improve performance.
- Effective organisation and planning skills.
- High standard of integrity; able to treat personal information and data confidentiality.
- IT literate with experience using Word, Excel and Google Suite.
Other things we’re looking for (key criteria) -
- A clear understanding & passion for the apprenticeship role you are applying for as well as ITV
- Have a willingness to learn new skills with the appropriate training
- Demonstrate a ‘can do’ attitude
- Good understanding of how to use technology in an office environment for example use of the Google suite, zoom
- You will be friendly and approachable, respectful to all of your ITV colleagues
- You’ll have the ability to maintain a positive attitude, even when under pressure and working to deadlines
Eligibility/Entry Criteria
As this is a Level 3 Apprenticeship, we require you to have/be predicted to achieve the below qualifications
GCSE (or equivalent): Maths - Grade C/4 or above English Language or Literature - Grade C/4 or above, Plus 2 other subjects - Grade C/4 or above
There is no upper age limit to an Apprenticeship, we would encourage applications from anyone leaving school, all the way to looking for a career change. Please see below to check you meet the eligibility criteria:
- You have lived within the UK/EEA for a minimum of 3 years consecutively
- You meet the entry criteria for the apprenticeship as listed above
- You have not completed a degree/same level qualification in a similar subject to the role you are applying for
- You cannot have achieved the qualification already and you must not already be in full time education at the point of enrolment
