Role overview:
As the Supply Chain Planner, you will be joining PlayStation's Global Supply Chain Organisation. In this role, you will have the opportunity to build a comprehensive understanding of PlayStation's EMEA Supply Chain operations. This highly analytical role requires the ability to deliver solutions that improve the fulfilment capabilities of the supply chain in alignment with the sales plans.
What you'll be doing:
- Review and analyse sales forecast and inventory data and take action to create the most optimal weekly production schedule with minimum inventory exposure. Adjust accordingly to weekly/monthly performance.
- Provide warehouses with weekly/monthly/quarterly forecast of inbound materials and production demand and assess risks on factors including labour capacity, space capacity, and inbound build of material timing.
- Collaborate with Warehouse Operations, Operations Program Management, and Procurement on build of material and management within SAP system
- Assess risks and gaps within the production schedule and communicate appropriately within the Sales organisation through daily & weekly reporting
- Manage delivery time parameters within SAP material master with Procurement team to enable accurate MRP weekly/daily runs
- Work directly with HW Engineering Operations team on factory distribution resource planning of factory bulk and retail ready product
- Collaborate with Logistics team on transit time assumptions and input into SAP system, daily/weekly reporting, and planning models
- Identify weekly/daily priority of factory shipments/containers, vendor inbound components, and interplants to Logistic lead(s)
- Manage transfer of finished goods and supporting components across Sony warehouses
- Identify excess and obsolete components and finished goods and disposition direction to 3PLs
What we're looking for:
- 5+ years demonstrated ability in master scheduling, demand planning, or supply chain planning
- Broad knowledge of materials planning, product allocation, master scheduling, production control, and manufacturing process
- Solid understanding of supply and/or demand planning process within consumer-packaged good industry or video game industry is a plus
- Working experience utilising ERP system (SAP GUI, SAP Fiori, SAP Business Objects, SAP IBP)
- BS/BA or equivalent combination of education and experience. APICS certification is a plus
