Supply Chain Manager
London Bridge Hospital, London
Time 37.5 shifts times covering 7am-6pm (occasional weekend work is required)

About the Role
We’re looking for a Supply Chain Manager to look after the daily operations of all supply chain functions conducted in our London Bridge Hospital Empire. Your role will include project management and collaboration alongside the Senior Leadership team and you will also line manage for all Supply Chain personnel which are based across our London Bridge Empire. You’ll serve as the liaison between the corporate supply chain team and the hospital while overseeing a variety of supply chain functions including inventory management, vendor relationship management, and managing supply expenses. This role reports directly into the Facility Operations Director with a dotted line to the Hospital Chief Finance Officer (CFO).
Main duties and responsibilities include:
Lead and manage all facility Supply Chain operation activities at the Empire
Manage the profit and loss of the facility Supply Chain Operations
Execute the infrastructure project plan for the facility. This includes the implementation of the standardisation programs for all Supply Chain functions, SMART cleanup, master file standardisation, online requisitioning, and EDI
Manage supplies and processes ensuring facility/facilities are prepared for business continuity
Facilitate the implementation of market-based purchasing projects at the facility
Responsible for accuracy of inventory counts by implementing and managing, in conjunction with Finance, an inventory control system, capable of identifying discrepancies in inventory counts and taking corrective action to guard against inconsistencies in the future
Responsible for managing and maintaining appropriate inventory for all areas of the empire in line with Supply Chain (SC) policies and procedures
Manage the Loan Kit process for the empire to ensure that end to end activities are performed in a timely manner
Lead and promote the team to ensure they are highly motivated
Create a culture of continuous improvement within Supply Chain to capture better efficiency and productivity
Create a supportive environment for Supply Chain staff and their development and career progression
Project management – ensure delivered on time, milestones achieved and within budget.
Build and maintain strategic working relationships with senior management hospital teams, Corporate, Supply Chain and other key stakeholders
Work closely with suppliers and their representatives to build good working relationships and support clinical needs
Skills & Experience
Prior experience of working within Supply Chain position for a large corporate company, healthcare would be an advantage
Degree level or equivalent of education required, preferably in Business Management, Finance, Accounting, Logistics, Supply Chain, or Healthcare related
Management experience including team leadership with commercial and finance remit working to cost control KPIs
Deep understanding of financial procedures / controls and audit compliance
Operational Decision Making – Securing and comparing information from multiple sources to identify business issues; committing to an action after weighing alternative solutions
Stakeholder engagement and able to build strong relationships at all levels
