Originally VisitHealth has been focusing on providing nurse-led community-based services. We are now proud to have grown into a company to be adding doctor-led services, telemedicine and remote consultations.

Scope of practice after the Grand Opening of the Clinic:

  • Doctor face-to-face consultations (GP and other specialists)
  • Doctor mobile services
  • Nurse-led medical care
  • Nurse mobile services
  • Laboratory tests
  • Functional diagnostics (ECG, Spirometry, Cardio assessment, etc.)
  • Imaging and Radiology (Ultrasound, X-Ray, Computer Tomography, Magnetic Resonance Imaging)

General arrangements

  • Full-time employment
  • 40 hours a week
  • Monday – Sunday, working on a Rota basis
  • UK citizenship/residency

Expected salary

Job Functions

Some of your main duties will include but not be limited to the following:

  • Acting in accordance with the standards of conduct, performance and ethics set by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC);
  • Assess patients and their clinical requirements to work out which radiographic techniques to use
  • Perform a range of radiographic examinations on patients to produce high-quality images
  • Take responsibility for radiation safety in your work area, including checking equipment for malfunctions and errors
  • Manage referrals to ensure patients receive a radiation dose as low as reasonably possible
  • Supervise visiting staff and patients in radiation work areas
  • Help in more complex radiological examinations, working with doctors such as radiologists
  • Provide support and reassurance to patients, taking into account their physical and psychological needs
  • Supervise radiography and imaging support assistants
  • Keep up to date with health and safety guidelines, including ionising radiation regulations, to protect yourself and others.

Qualifications

  • Minimally a BSc(Hons) Radiography, DCR(D) Diploma of the College of Radiographers or equivalent required
  • Current valid Healthcare Professional Council (HCPC) registration (essential)
  • Trained to cannulate and administer contrast agents (essential)
  • Certified Radiation Protection Supervisor (desired)
  • Post graduate qualification in imaging (desired)
  • Highly developed specialist Diagnostic Radiography knowledge, underpinned by theory and experience
  • Significant post-qualification experience in Radiography
  • Previous experience of supervision/management of clinical and non-clinical staff in General Radiography
  • Relevant personal history of continuing professional development
  • Demonstrable experience of setting up and developing new procedures and practices
  • Previous experience in UK private healthcare sector is preferred
  • Able to meet pre-employment checks including, satisfactory references, enhanced DBS checks
  • Provide proof of your covid vaccination status – This is a general requirement to be employed by and work for a healthcare provider
