Come and join us as a Supply Chain Manager within the Helicopter Operating Centre; its Delivery and Enabling teams provide equipment and support to Helicopter platforms that are currently in-service within the Military fleet both in the UK and across the globe.
You will support the delivery of Supply Chain activities contributing to operational success across Item Data Management, Customer Demand Planning, Inventory Supply Planning, Supplier Management, Supply Chain Performance Management, and Inventory Disposals. A good eye for detail and skills in the management of data will play a vital part of these posts.
You will be encouraged to develop your skills through guidance, training and on the job learning and will ensure that a high-quality service is delivered. This will be demonstrated through your ability to collaborate with others, provide suggestions for resolution to problems, and continually strive for improved quality to deliver a range of time-sensitive outputs that support your customers and Delivery Teams.
Regular attendance is expected in the Centenary House offices on site in Yeovil. It is the home of the support teams for Apache, Wildcat and Merlin helicopters and the Central Enabling Team, alongside industry counterparts.
There will also be a requirement for travel to Operating Centres at other locations, for which travel, and subsistence costs will be covered.

Responsibilities
· Creating and maintaining Item Data Records on the Logistic Information Systems for agreed ranges of equipment
· Ensuring Inventory Demand and Supply Plans are developed and executed, within Financial Delegation limits.
· Ensuring all Ministry of Defence (MOD) owned inventory are materiel and financially accounted for in accordance with Inventory Materiel & Financial Accounting Policy and Procedures.
You may also:
· Assist the support solution development by detailing the mandated Supply Chain requirements, including Government Furnished Equipment (GFE), to all functions, throughout the stages.
· Line manage a small team in the future.
Person specification
To be successful with your application, you'll need to show that you meet the following essential criteria:
· Experience of working in a Supply Chain environment
· Track record in delivering customer service
· Skilled in handling, interpreting, and reporting on data
· Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams)
· Evidence of stakeholder engagement, internal and external at all levels
In addition to the responsibilities above, the following technical competences and behaviours will be assessed at interview:
· Inventory Demand and Supply Planning – Practitioner level
· Materiel and Financial Accounting for Inventory - Practitioner level
· Communicating and Influencing - CSBC 3
· Making Effective Decisions - CSBC 3
