Job description
As our Supply Chain Coordinator, you will be a main point of contact between internal departments and external parties relating to supply chain such as: DC, Freight, Carriers. A key part of your role will be placing purchase orders and ensuring stock is delivered at the right times whilst using the most efficient freight methods to achieve supply chain and commercial targets. It’s high impact: you’ll be able to see the results of your decisions on the brand.

What you will be doing
- Raises PO’s with suppliers; accurately keying orders for multiple warehouses.
- Calculate, sense check and raise all deposit and balance payments of PO’s, as well as freight payments.
- Manage the critical path of stock orders through production and transit to our warehouses, acting as POC for suppliers and freight companies. Ensure the orders stay on target of the critical path and ensure those concerned are aware of any changes as and when they occur.
- Understands how delivery dates are tracking for phase launch and discusses freight options with Merchandising to support on-time delivery, ensuring the competitive and efficient freight rates are secured.
- Maintain all internal systems with accurate information and update other team members concerned with details.
- Ensure confirmed shipment volumes at size level are within tolerance to the order quantity, feeding back any issues to the team, warehouse and suppliers within 48 hours.
- Book PO's into warehouse systems for delivery by freight companies and ensure warehouses are operating within agreed SLA’s for putaway and output.
- Manage a number of different internal databases to ensure freight rates and margins are corect at line level and to help with future seasonal planning.
- Communicate any freight trends, and freight rate market intel to the product team on a quarterly basis and corresponding cost implications.
- Review and plan our freight and carriage strategy across all transport methods to advise the freight strategy.
- Ensure suppliers are consistently using standardised boxes to maximise freight efficiencies and the required packaging is available to suppliers and warehouses.
- Manage the creation of products on all online platforms, ensuring all information is kept up to date.
- Build an excellent relationship with our warehouses and act as POC ensuring a smooth service.
- Manage the returns reprocessing to meet the returns targets of return time and costs, whilst regularly communicating any returns backlogs / volume at site level to the Merchandiser.
- Carry out any other operations related admin and data entry tasks.
Requirements
You might be a freelancer who is now looking for a more permanent role, or someone who is keen to dive into working at a startup.
- You have a number of years experience working in an administrative role (preferably supply chain / freight orientated)
- Self-motivated in completing tasks, working in a timely manner and able to prioritise task and communication
- Works well in a team and makes time to understand others, listen and support
- Have great communication skills in all communication channels, both written and verbal
- Is able to interpret facts and figures and take decisions on the basis of factual information to complete their tasks
- Takes time to full understand process and can retain information where process is repeated regularly
- Puts in extra effort to always achieve high levels of accuracy and that their work meets the required standards
- You’re able to adapt to quick changes (which are bound to happen in a fast paced environment!)
- You can take criticism without getting upset. Understanding that critical feedback from the team (although it hurts) is the KEY to personal growth & a natural part of being on a high-performance team that has high expectations & trust amongst each other
- You are comfortable and productive working remotely
