Job description
The Commercial Operations team at Imperial College delivers unrestricted income to the College to supplement its activities. This is achieved through the commercial booking and operation of unused College assets outside periods of core demand (e.g. vacation periods). The department is part of the Commercial Investments and Activities Group.
With access to circa 2,200 bedrooms in South Kensington and North Acton, over 100 conference/meeting venues in central London, and a premium summer school hosting 500 students annually, Commercial Operations generates valuable income for Imperial to supplement its core activities.
Duties and responsibilities
We are looking for a proactive, self-starter and team player for this position. The post holder has overall responsibility for leading the Commercial Summer Lettings team. They will develop and direct the implementation of a sales and marketing strategy designed to drive revenue growth, improve overall performance, and maximise profitability of the College’s accommodation venues during periods of non-core demand. You will increase venue visibility and brand recognition to enable the achievement of sales targets and position the College as a leading academic venue in the UK.
Essential requirements
You will have a track record of successfully managing and scaling multi-venue accommodation sales operations, achieving year-on-year growth, exceeding performance targets. You will be an established leader with the presence and confidence to drive and motivate your team.
