Job description
This is a unique opportunity for a 2-3 month internship as part of our surgical intern team starting from June/July until September 2023.
The successful candidate will work under the supervision of specialists in surgery, orthopaedics and anaesthesia. As part of the intern team, you will play an integral role in the day to day running of the clinic; assisting in surgery, helping work up patients and providing world-class in-patient care. There is also the opportunity for active involvement with some of the world’s most innovative and advanced orthopaedic and neurosurgical procedures, some of which are unique to our hospital.
You must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to stay calm under pressure. Applicants must be already be Member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons. Previous experience in small animal practice or completion of a surgical internship is essential and some experience with orthopaedic procedures would be an advantage. You must be able to communicate clearly in English, both verbally and in writing and you must be available to start no later than early July, if not earlier.
