Role Description
The Summer Residence Manager has responsibility for managing the welfare and supervision of students and staff at our summer residences. This role will also involve managing rooming arrangements in your residence and liaising with Residence staff as to cleaning and meal numbers.
The list of duties below is not exhaustive. The Summer Residence manager works a 6-day week
Duties and Responsibilities:
· To act as designated safeguarding manager for all students at residence. This includes ensuring the following areas are managed at centre: student wellbeing and care, child protection, visitors on site, smoking, alcohol and substance abuse, students medical and mental health needs, fire safety, e-safety and abusive behaviour.
· To line manage any staff at the residence in terms of supervision and care of students
· To ensure that individual student support is carried out and tat residential area’s notice boards are kept up to date
· To keep accurate records of any incidents, accidents or medical situations that occur at residence
Accommodation Management Duties
· Create, update and maintain accurate rooming lists for summer residence
· Regularly communicate accurate rooming lists to HBO
· Ensure up to date fire lists are available
· Manage room change requests from students
· Conduct all Meet and Greets – this is to include allocation of room keys to students on arrive and also collecting them on departure.
· Arrange all catering options – this to include making sure suppliers have the correct information about numbers and food requests in advance – also to note any food allergies.
· Managing the delivery of weekend lunches for students
· Regularly communicate with HBO regarding cleaning or maintenance issues. Assist with arranging cleaning lists for weekly cleans and departure cleans
· Organise weekly collection/ distribution of student laundry
· Organise staff rota’s for team
· First point of contact for any problems arising in residence
· Any other duties as directed by the HBO

- Previous experience working with children
