Our Access and Inclusive Environments team works with designers, planners and architects to provide buildings and landscapes that are accessible for all users and maximise opportunity for all, including disabled people, different age groups, different backgrounds, identities and circumstances. We work collaboratively with the project teams, enabling inclusive design to be an integral part of our solutions. Working as a multi-disciplinary team allows us to work with a variety of people, on a wide variety of complex projects, including a wide range of existing and new build sites containing elements such as residential, commercial, education, sports, transport and public realm, from concept to tender phase, construction and hand over.
Working with our team, this is an excellent opportunity to learn about inclusive design, develop skills and work on actual construction projects to improve inclusion for end users. The nature of the work is such that you could be working on several projects at the same time and acquiring first-hand experience of applying accessibility and inclusive design standards and good practice across a range of sectors.
We are looking for candidates who are studying a degree in subjects such as Architecture, Architectural Engineering, Building Services Engineering, Civil Engineering, Environmental Psychology, Ergonomics, General Engineering, Engineering Science, Human Factors, Law, Public Policy, Social Science or Town Planning and Urban Design.

Designing the building envelope is designing the single most striking part of the building. The façade fuses architecture with structural challenge, energy conservation, occupant comfort; and the creation of exciting and valuable space within the building. Arup has the largest and strongest façade engineering team globally. Our approach is based on excellence and ingenuity. We work on the most exciting projects around the world. Our service integrates technical design, structural engineering, thermal analysis, advanced modelling techniques and new materials.
We are looking for candidates who are Studying a BEng or MEng in Civil, Structural, Architectural, General Engineering or Engineering Science.

We are offering summer placement positions for students to join our team of bright professional across several of our UK offices for 2023.
You will experience what we do as fire engineers. You will help us deliver effective and professional services for a range of varied and high-profile clients. From the outset of your placement, you will have responsibility to complete tasks on live projects and engage in research, and we will be there to provide you with the necessary support and training you may need. We will aim to make your journey with us smooth and enjoyable while you broaden your exposure to fire engineering.
We are looking for candidates who are working towards a master's or bachelor's degree with a prediction of a 2:2 or above in a relevant subject necessary to obtain engineering chartership, such as: Fire Engineering, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Building Services Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Construction Management, Building Surveying or Applied Mathematics.

We are looking for Security Intelligence trainees to join our Security teams, as part of our Resilience, Security and Risk discipline.
Our world-leading physical security team has developed an enviable reputation for innovation based on a risk-based approach to successfully develop the technical solutions of some of the world's most complex buildings and structures. These include tall buildings, transport infrastructure, medical facilities, education and stadia.
We are looking for candidates who are studying towards a bachelor's degree in System, Electrical, Electronic, IT & Communications Systems or Aeronautical Engineering.
Arup summer placement opportunities typically run for 6-8 weeks. You must be available to start the placement opportunity during Summer 2023 and commit to completing the programme in full.
