RWE Group, and our LNG Desk in particular, are heavily committed to the energy transition by looking at greener fuels. Our LNG Desk covers Physical and Financial Trading as well as operations of a global portfolio, including LNG vessels on time charter.

Your responsibilities

We are now looking for a Summer Intern Placement for our London office (near Bank of England), to support our LNG Desk in a variety of ways and activities including analysis, commercial and shipping operations. This will be on a 3-6 months fixed-term contract.

This internship will offer an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, as part of a high performing team with a growing global footprint in the LNG industry.

Amongst other tasks key responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the LNG Desk in business development for various shipping and operations projects.
• Supporting the LNG Desk in Energy transition endeavours including greener and alternative fuels (such as bio-LNG, hydrogen and green-ammonia).

Your profile

You must be a recent Graduate, ideally with a Masters’ Degree in Shipping/Energy Trade and Finance OR a University Degree in Energy or Shipping (or similar).

Other key requirements include:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Exceptional analytical and quantitative skills.
• Ability to process sophisticated transactions.
• Enthusiastic personality and good relationship-building skills.
• Exceptional IT skills in the MS Windows environment (particularly Excel).
• Very good team player, high levels of self-motivation and flexibility.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced Trading environment and work towards tight deadlines.
