Summer Intern, Net-Zero Transition

Summer Intern, Net-Zero Transition London, England

Madano
Full Time London, England 10.56 - 12.04 GBP Today
Job description

Want to help ground-breaking net zero-focussed organisations tell their stories?

Our clients’ technologies are changing the world. From advanced nuclear, to carbon capture and storage, to the new hydrogen economy, their innovations are shaping the future and changing people's lives for the better. We’re proud to help tell our clients’ stories and grow their businesses – in the UK and overseas.

We are looking for a Summer Intern to join our growing Net-Zero Transition Practice. The right candidate will have the chance to work with and learn from some of the best communications advisors in the business, at the UK’s only integrated consultancy working in the net-zero space.

Matthew Houlsby, Head of NZT and his team deliver best in class digital, media and government relations expertise for companies and organisations operating in the UK growing net zero transition economy.

What we’re looking for and what we can offer you

We’re looking for a committed, smart, and hard-working individual, with strong potential across the communications spectrum – media, government affairs and digital. We’re looking for an exciting and dynamic candidate with an interest in current events and net-zero, and related policy and business issues. However, we don’t expect you to be an expert. We’re looking for applicants with a motivation to succeed and a willingness to learn, who can help us grow our business and take their understanding of communications to the next level.

You will want to help our clients tell their stories in ways that can influence public perceptions, investor relations, policy making and political decisions to benefit their business objectives. You’ll gain experience in government engagement and communications campaigns, and an understanding of how media relations and story creation works across an integrated communications practice (media, digital, creative). You will be part of that approach, ensuring real-world impact.

In return, we can offer the opportunity to work in a company that takes its values seriously, having committed to working with net-zero technology providers many years ago and committed to the low-carbon economies of the future. You will be able to work with some of the most exciting companies in the UK, from nuclear fusion developers to low-emissions aircraft technology providers. You’ll also develop a greater understanding of current events and net-zero, an learn more about communicating with key figures across the political and media landscapes.
