As a Summer Intern, you will have the unique opportunity to be plugged into the daily operation and challenges of Founders Factory Africa. The successful candidate will work closely with our London office to be an active support across a multitude of functions, not restricted to fundraising, operations, and portfolio management. The work will include both ad-hoc tasks, as well as longer-term research projects. This is a full-time internship, and the candidate will be required to work in London. We operate a hybrid model where you must be in the office at least 3 days a week.


Responsibilities

    • Prepare reports and conduct research studies in a multidisciplinary approach
    • Improve current data collection and analysis techniques
    • Support with portfolio management and prioritisation
    • Assist with other projects and administrative tasks as needed
    • Support with managing and organising the firm's operational processes, including accounting, legal, and compliance functions
    • Help streamline and improve the firm’s internal processes to increase efficiency and productivity

Must have the Skills/Experience

    • Recently completed a Bachelor's degree in finance, business, economics, or a related field
    • Previous experience in VC, startup, and/or data analytics is a plus
    • Ability to prioritise and handle multiple tasks simultaneously in time-critical situations
    • Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment and operate with a sense of urgency
    • Excellent decision-making, planning, and problem-solving skills
    • Strong interpersonal skills Proficiency in G-suite
    • High level of discretion with integrityImmaculate organisational, project management, and time management skill
    • Experience solving complex challenges across complex environments
    • Knowledge, enthusiasm, and interest in technology and start-ups
    • Eager to learn
