Main purpose of job
Spend your spring / summer working outside in the sun, enjoying life and making memories with international teenagers on exciting tours, activities and adventures in the city and the south of England!
Brighton Language College International is a city centre school that provides tours, social and sporting activities for children age 12-17 including beach volleyball, kayaking, Palace Pier rides, sports, cinema nights, beach BBQs, student party nights and much much more.
Also you will lead excursions to London / Cambridge / OXford / Arundel / Lewes / Seven Sisters / Thorpe Park / Devil's Dyke and beyond.
Activity Leaders are responsible for working with us to deliver these great activities with direction and great support from our Activities Manager and their team.
Main duties
- Implement and execute a high standard of activities and excursions
- Communicate with students and leaders in English and provide a safe environment for the delivery of the activities and excursions
- Inclusion of all students in all activities and excursions
Specific duties
- Following the school's policies of child protection, bullying, behaviour management
- Must be fully aware of all published emergency procedures in case of fire, accident, (etc.)
- Ensure that students all follow the rules about smoking and alcohol
- No smoking on site, except in agreed external areas. No smoking in front of students
- Professional responsibility to act according to what is agreed by team
- Follow welfare guidelines published by the school and the welfare officer
Other
- Attending weekly meetings
- Flexible attitude necessary to deal with unexpected situations.
- You may be asked to carry sports equipment, move furniture, and walk significant distances on excursions.
- Work as part of a team ensuring the successful execution of the activities as directed.

- Proof of identity and qualifications will be required

Working Hours
- The working hours can be quite variable in terms of total hours and start/finish times. Flexibility is essential
- Mornings, afternoons, evenings and weekends shifts available
- You are to be onsite at the school 15 minutes prior to commencing work.
- Weekly activity schedules are published by the college
