Role Profile

This roles sits within the Vodafone Learning Organisation’s (VLO) succession and talent global area of expertise (AoE). This AoE is responsible for (1) setting Vodafone’s global succession and talent strategy and evolving the talent framework/tools and processes; (2) having a dedicated, global focus on the end-to-end talent lifecycle for Vodafone’s Top 200 population (Vodafone’s ‘Senior Leadership Team’); (3) Setting the global minimum assessment standards and providing associated tools for selection and development, ensuring inclusive and effective assessment practices.

The Succession and Talent lead is a key role responsible for ensuring data driven talent and succession decision making and that core, high profile talent and succession processes run smoothly. It reports into the Head of Succession and Talent.

Some of the things you'll be working on

  • Lead on providing the data analysis (e.g. stability in market top teams, diversity, depth of succession pools, retention of talent) and executive level packs for the Board/Nomco, Exco Grow My Impact calibration processes and annual Exco Succession planning
  • Provide regular data reporting e.g. alignment of SLT Head Count each month working with OE, D&I, Reward and Reporting
  • Conduct data modelling of defined scenarios (e.g. moves/flight risks etc.)
  • Conduct ad-hoc reporting/analysis and deep-dive reporting and analysis based on team’s requirements.
  • Create and maintain the talent CRM ‘system’ to hold key data relating to talent touch points (interviews/assessments/promotions/moves/alumni etc).
  • Continuously evolve the data sets and tool requirements, with the Technology Ops teams
  • Continuously work towards the shift to automated/standardised reporting
  • Support with coordinating key succession and talent processes e.g.: monthly Exco resourcing meeting, the annual SLT Succession Review and SLT Grow My Impact calibration processes. This will involve engaging with senior stakeholders (e.g. regional HRDs)
