The Role…
Reporting to the eCommerce Photography Manager, we are looking for a Studio Assistant who will support all functions in the production of photography in our Nuneaton Studio, working across the Soho House retail brands of Soho Home, Cowshed & Soho Skin.
Main Duties…
- Work closely with the Studio Coordinator to effectively manage the sample flow through the various stages of production in the studio.
- Assist the Photographer on set with any lighting or digital requirements, making sure to use safe lifting practices when moving any heavy equipment or when shooting larger items.
- Maintain an inventory of studio supplies, ensuring the studio is always stocked with essential items.
- Ensure the photography set is maintained to a high standard, and any minor damages are promptly fixed to avoid delays.
- Maintain a clean and tidy work environment, ensuring that product is correctly organised and remains undamaged during the shoot production process.
- Work closely alongside the studio team to ensure daily studio shoot lists are completed on time.
- Help to accurately maintain an archive to allow for fast and efficient file locating.
- Have a keen interest in developing and broadening your skills within the various stages of studio production, and coming forward with suggestions for any workflow improvements
Requirements / Qualifications...
- A keen interest or experience in Photography, Studio Production or Retouching
- Detail oriented, well organised and great at problem solving
- Able to comfortably lift and manoeuvre heavy items safely
- Experience working to tight deadlines desirable
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with others
