Student Support Manager
Start date: Spring Term
Salary: NJC Scale 4 SP 7 - 11 (FTE £21,189- £24,054/ Actual £19,990 -£21,496 per annum)
Contract term: Permanent, part time (37 hours per week, 41 weeks per year
We are seeking to appoint a Student Support Manager to join our superb Student Services team.
You will be required to:
- Work with individual students to overcome barriers to their learning
- Liaise with external support agencies to ensure that individual needs are met
- Contribute to the safeguarding and the promotion of the personal care of our students
- Assist in the overall raising of standards of achievement through raising students’ esteem, expectations and aspirations.

Felixstowe School is set within a new site and boasts bright classrooms and excellent facilities. The Student Services area is central to the school, located just off the Atrium main dining area. The area was completely refurbished as a student-centred hub in the spring term 2020 to ensure that the Student Services team, and students had access to a bright and welcoming area. The team work in tandem with the wider Student Support team, overseen by an Assistant Headteacher who also line manages SEND and our Access class provision. The Deputy Headteacher Student Support ultimately oversees the entire Student Support area. This brings in the Sixth Form, Careers, and SMSC/ PSHE for a truly cohesive and overarching Student Support Team that has a wide and far-reaching impact across the school.
