About the role:
We are seeking a colleague to join our Student Money Advice team and make a key contribution to our students’ success. The team provides professional advice to students on their eligibility to access student funding, money management and budgeting, welfare and benefit eligibility, the financial implications of making changes to their studies.
We’re looking for an empathetic and skilled communicator who can absorb complex information and then advise students in a clear and sympathetic manner. You’ll liaise with other University teams to deliver excellent student support, including colleagues in our Faculties and across Student and Library Services.
Educated to degree level, with an appropriate level of relevant experience and evidence of CPD, you will have excellent interpersonal skills having worked previously in an advice setting. You’ll also have experience of working with information management systems and the ability to plan and progress work activities. Through working in the team you’ll make a real difference to student retention, achievement and employability.
