The opportunity

Working as part of UK Talent Shared Services the Student Hire Post Offer Coordinator will be responsible for providing an exceptional onboarding experience for all joiners who join EY via the student hire route. This includes Graduates, Apprentices, Interns, Industrial Placement, Work Experience and those candidates who join EY Foundation programmes.


Your key responsibilities

  • Deliver a positive onboarding experience for all candidates joining the firm by coordinating all aspects of the post offer processes, these include but are not limited to:
    • Issuing and tracking the acceptance of offer letters within the agreed KPI
    • Initiating Pre-Employment Screening
    • Ensuring all joiner documents are completed and returned within a timely manner.
    • Monitoring, Reporting and Actioning any alerts that arise from the pre-employment screening in a timely manner
    • Issuing and chasing visa/right to work documentation for International offer holders.
    • Providing email support for candidates throughout their onboarding journey
    • Adding candidates on to the global HR system
    • Providing the IT teams with the correct information to enable them to provide users with the correct IT setup
    • Issuing new starter information including welcome emails, induction information and escalating non-compliance appropriately
  • Check payslips for all student joiners to ensure loans and IHS levy payments are processed correctly.
  • Process payroll changes and reduce risk around payroll processes by reviewing and checking transactions identified on interface reports from the Payroll provider in a timely way, engaging the Payroll & Benefits team appropriately.
  • Be a point of contact for candidates that have been successful in securing a graduate, undergraduate, work experience, business apprentice or EY Foundation position.
  • Work with the recruitment team to ensure all service level agreements and recruitment targets are met consistently.
  • Organise and attend weekly calls with the recruitment team to discuss and progress candidate files
  • Produce regular reports to communicate progress and status of candidates within each service line or induction you are responsible for
  • Flexibly support other team members and teams within the TSS and Student Recruitment team in response to work volumes
  • Identify and contribute to process improvements and ways to optimise technology to benefit the business.
  • Keep up to date with changes to EY HR policy and process. Ensure compliance with the Data Protection Act.
  • Contribute to wider TSS and Student Recruitment projects.

To qualify for the role you must have

  • Strong attention to detail and good organisation skills, with the capacity to manage high volumes of tasks and queries
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to establish and build strong working relationships with key stakeholders
  • Excellent time management


Ideally, you’ll also have

  • A desire to contribute to the overall development of the UK TSS by encouraging change and identifying areas for efficiencies within the onboarding process
  • Confidence to contribute to building a team with a reputation for delivery of exceptional client service.
  • Able to demonstrate initiative and vision and identify opportunities for process improvement.
  • A background in onboarding, recruitment or HR.
  • A commitment to own personal development and completion of appropriate learning and development activities to ensure capability and skills are current.
