To underpin its academic work, the School of Education has a Professional Service team providing a core administrative service across all our teaching and research activities. The team works collaboratively and effectively to support and implement the plans in our strategic vision, and we are pleased to have received very favourable results from the university's recent staff feedback survey. As Student Experience Officer you will provide proactive support for the effective management of all placements, working closely with the Senior Student Experience Officer to ensure effective communication with placement providers, students and academic colleagues, deputising as required. You will take lead responsibility for timetabling across all programmes, working in liaison with the Student Experience Officer (grade 4), working towards University and departmental deadlines and ensuring timely and accurate publication of information. You will provide specialist support to our professional accredited programmes. This will include a range of administrative duties such as supporting the bursary process, Progression Boards for teacher training, and the criminal record checking process within the department. You will work cohesively across the Student Experience Team providing support to colleagues in periods of peak workloads and ensuring cover in absence.
