Hours: 37.5 hours per week - Monday to Friday

We have a fantastic opportunity for an Education Co-Ordinator and Student Supervisor to join our team at The National Stud.

Part of The Jockey Club Group, The National Stud has been an integral part of the British thoroughbred industry for over 100 years. Alongside our breeding services we also offer specialist training for stud staff and public tours. Our Objectives are simple:

The Education Co-Ordinator and Student Supervisor will
¨ Manage all administrative processes including registration and response to enquiries and course applications.
¨ Efficiently register and certificate learners with Awarding Bodies, maintain up-to-date and accurate student records
¨ Co-ordinate student interviews, course induction and placement paperwork
¨ Update alumni database and administration of correspondence as required.
¨ Fully co-ordinate recruitment events, school/college/community group tours, short courses and annual graduation ceremony
¨ Complete administration of the Evening Lecture Programme including but not limited to booking lecturers, circulating schedule and processing payment for external attendees.
¨ Supervise and support learners on the stud as required during the working day, on external trips and at the sales.
About you
¨ Knowledge of all equine breeding practices and procedures.
¨ Understanding of learning pedagogy, key safeguarding legislation and educational policies
¨ Experience in an administrative role
¨ 3 years practical experience in the thoroughbred industry
¨ Excellent telephone manner and interpersonal skills.
¨ Proficient in the use of Microsoft programs including Word and Excel
¨ High level of attention to detail
¨ Passionate about training the next generation of stud staff
¨ Able to work weekends to support new learners and occasional evenings.
¨ The successful applicant will have the opportunity to work towards Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement and other relevant qualifications if keen to do so.
