Job Description:
As an Articling Law Student, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience and develop your legal skills under the guidance of experienced lawyers. You will be exposed to a wide range of legal matters and practice areas, including but not limited to corporate law, litigation, real estate, family law, and more. This position offers a comprehensive articling program designed to provide you with the practical training necessary to excel in your legal career.
Responsibilities:
Conducting legal research and analysis
Drafting legal documents, including pleadings, contracts, and agreements
Assisting with case preparation and trial support
Attending court hearings, mediations, and client meetings
Conducting client interviews and maintaining case files
Participating in firm meetings, seminars, and professional development activities
Qualifications:
Currently enrolled in a recognized law school in Alberta
Eligible to participate in the Alberta Law Society's Articling Program
Strong academic record and legal research skills
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Demonstrated passion for the legal profession and commitment to personal growth
