I am working with a well-respected special school for students aged 7-19 who have a a range of complex and severe additional needs, including Autism. Located in Southgate, the school are seeking 4 recent graduates with a passion for inclusion to join their supportive staff team as teaching assistants ASAP, with a view to continuing in September.
The school are seeking dynamic, enthusiastic teaching assistants who are passionate about supporting children and young people to be the best they can be, regardless of personal circumstance. Commitment and resilience are absolutely crucial, as you will be required to work with students who show challenging behaviour, and who may struggle to verbalise their emotions. However, training and support will be provided from Day 1 – so if you're ready and willing to get stuck in and learn on the job, this is a fantastic opportunity to build experience within a specialist setting.
The school are particularly interested to employ graduates who are passionate about neurodiversity and looking to build practical experience to support further study or career paths in education and therapeutic settings.
