Job Title: Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant

Location: Chester, Cheshire

Employment Type: Full-Time, Temporary (with possibility of extension)

Salary: Competitive, based on experience

Are you a passionate Psychology graduate looking to kick-start your career in education? We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistants at a primary school in the Chester area. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain invaluable classroom experience while making a positive impact on young minds.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with teachers to deliver engaging and inclusive lessons
  • Support students with their learning, providing one-on-one assistance when necessary
  • Assist in the planning and preparation of classroom activities
  • Help create a positive and nurturing learning environment
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents
  • Foster the social and emotional development of students
  • Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students with special educational needs
  • Participate in staff meetings and training sessions as required

Requirements:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Psychology (or related field)
  • Strong passion for education and working with children
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patience, empathy, and a caring nature
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Experience working with children (e.g., volunteering, tutoring, mentoring) is preferred
  • Knowledge of child development and learning theories is advantageous

Salary: £80.00-£100.00 per day

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • No weekends

  • Childcare: 1 year (preferred)
