The Director, Value Added Service Pricing Strategy is responsible for developing pricing strategies and programs that will increase sales of Visa value added services and products. This includes driving the recommendation and implementation of standard pricing for new products and services, as well as sales pricing programs. The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker, ideally with a background in consulting/strategy coupled with operational experience. This person will be recognized as a leader by peers and management, will think strategically and holistically about the business, be capable of identifying and resolving issues, and excel at quickly grasping and clearly communicating complex topics. The position requires close collaboration with product leadership teams, regional sales teams and country management. The Director will be based at Visa's offices in London.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead regional efforts with Product and Sales teams to establish product and value added service pricing solutions that support adoption, growth and profitability of Visa’s value added services.
- Develop pricing models and associated commercialization options to drive product and service business decisions.
- Work within cross-functional and cross-regional teams to solve pricing challenges and establish client product deals while collaborating with a range of internal stakeholders
- Drive the analysis of the financial impact of new opportunities utilizing client and market data, including evaluating pricing opportunities
- Identify, structure, and manage complex issues to quickly arrive at recommendations that drive corporate priorities and demonstrate results to business lines
- Build and maintain competitive pricing knowledge on a pan regional basis to provide solid context for pricing decisions.
- Manage rate change opportunity vetting and forecasting, including but not limited to business case and stakeholder impact assessment development around all proposed new fees/services and/or rate modifications.
- Maintain close working relationship with EU product leadership and VAS commercialization teams in the region and globally.
What we’re after…
- Bachelor's degree from or similar academic experience required.
- Management consulting, investment banking or product leadership experience preferred.
- Superior analytical and problem solving skills, with demonstrated intellectual and analytical rigor.
- Ability to work independently, usually within a complex and often ambiguous environment, to build rigorous, fact-bases that support recommendations to senior management, other executive, functional, or regional management.
- Must be able to develop content independently, often under significant time constraints.
- Able to prioritize work flow with limited supervision.
- Ability to handle multiple project workstreams, with proven success in synthesizing large data sets related to a wide variety of business problems.
- Eagerness to work intensively in joint teams with personnel of all levels to accomplish project objectives.
- Personal presence and ability to clearly communicate compelling messages in written and verbal communications.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
