A rapidly growing Strategy Consultancy is seeking a Strategy Manager. We are looking for an experienced strategy consultant who can manage a wide range of strategy work across our media and media-tech clients.
Your work will range from classic strategy (e.g. growth work, market entry) to specialist media work (e.g. sports rights valuations) and complicated research work (e.g. market sizing and forecasting, researching advertiser, customer, and partner perceptions, sentiment and requirements).
Your clients will range from the world’s largest big tech firms to traditional media businesses. One day you might be helping Spotify examine opportunities in new markets. The next you might be helping Google to evaluate customer perceptions of one of its major B2B products or valuing sports rights for a broadcaster.
Main Responsibilities
- Practitioner – overseeing the delivery of exceptional work.
- Leading the end-to-end delivery of some of our most challenging projects
- Leading the design of complex analytical frameworks and financial models, and analysis of data, to provide insight into client challenges, markets, customers and competitors
- Conducting large-scale research and interview programmes,
- Designing and delivering client briefings, reports, workshops and presentations
- Ensuring clear story-telling and commercially aware / strategic recommendations
- Making a significant contribution to new business / sales
- Building strong client relationships
- Overseeing and informing the design of challenging proposals
- Shaping the growth and development of the strategy team
- Line managing and mentoring members of the team
- Identifying new areas of opportunity
- Introducing new tools and techniques, packaging different approaches / specialisms (e.g. frameworks, models).
Requirements
- 5-8 years of consulting experience at a top strategy house (or corporate strategy team), or equivalent
- A first class degree (or minimum 2:1) from a top university
- A passion for and understanding of media, technology, entertainment and advertising
- The ability to work effectively and flexibly, both in a team and solo to deliver projects on-time and on-budget
- Excellent communication skills and an ability to make and support a clear argument
- The enthusiasm and ability to build strong working relationships with our clients
- An entrepreneurial outlook and the ambition, dedication and talent to be the very best at what you do
- This role will necessitate spending some time in the London office, although we would be open to candidates who aren’t London based.
