The role
Do you naturally have a caring nature and genuinely want to help make a difference to the lives of people with learning disabilities? If so, this could be the role for you.
As a support worker, your role will be to provide support to our tenants to develop the essential life skills to live as independently as possible in their own home. This will include supporting them with day-to-day tasks such as taking care of their homes, shopping and cooking.
You will also encourage community engagement and support our tenants to maintain friendships and interests, helping them to build confidence and self-esteem.
Experience is not always necessary as full training will be given along with the opportunity to work towards a care certificate. However, we do ask that you have patience and a desire to help others. Read the job description.
