The role

Join our dynamic Home Recruitment and Conversion Team, within the vibrant Education and Student Success Division. We're excited to welcome a passionate and driven individual as our Widening Participation and Undergraduate Recruitment Officer.

In this role, you'll embark on a thrilling journey through a diverse and fast-paced environment. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with an array of stakeholders, both within our team and across the broader University community, while making a meaningful impact in local and national schools and colleges.

The role is ideal for someone looking for a challenge within a supportive team, interested in working in strategically important areas of recruitment and Widening Participation (WP).

What will you be doing?

  • Lead transformational projects, including flagship Widening Participation initiatives like Access to Bristol or The Sutton Trust Summer School.
  • Cultivate partnerships with target schools, focusing on engaging underrepresented and/or disadvantaged groups such as Asian and Black heritage students and students eligible for Free School Meals.
  • Collaborate with a team of experts to analyse application and intake data, shaping impactful and evidence-led Widening Participation activities.
  • Gain diverse experience in admissions, recruitment strategy, data analysis, partnership building, and relationship management.
  • Embrace an evolving role, ready to tackle new challenges as the University's Widening Participation strategy evolves.
  • Ignite potential, redefine education, and become a catalyst for change as our Widening Participation and Undergraduate Recruitment Officer.
