Data Strategy Analyst
Location: St. Petersburg, Florida – Onsite
At Webull, we are building the next-generation brokerage platform for retail investors globally. We are looking for a Data Strategy Associate to join us on our mission of bringing finance and technology together to empower all investors.
You will be working in an exciting, high-speed, and dynamic environment with teams across multiple departments and overseas. The ideal candidate will oversee data systems/feeds, implement improvements, and provide operational support for backend systems. You will enjoy using technology to derive inferences from data, develop models to solve problems and test for the optimal solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Passion for working with data, analyzing, and building models to assess a data system, a situation, or a financial instrument
- Apply quantitative methods to large datasets and find the optimal method to train and understand data
- Build tools and automation to improve the robustness, efficiency, and quality of the current data platform
- Collaborate with other quantitative researchers, data scientists to work on providing solutions and improvements to the current system
- Think creatively and translate conceptual work into algorithms
- Understand the financial market and electronic trading
Qualifications:
- Advanced training in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or other highly quantitative studies (Bachelor’s, Master’s, Ph.D. degree)
- Strong Communication & Interpersonal skills
- Independent research experience
- Self-starter and ability to manage multiple tasks with ambiguity in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional analytical skills, with attention to detail
- Experience with SQL or NoSQL databases (e.g., AWS, MongoDB)
- Must have experience with Python, experience with J, K, Q, Javascript, C++ is a plus
- Previous experience in the broker-dealer/ fin-tech space is a plus
