- Responsible for a broad range of communication initiatives and outreach activities that educate, inform, and build relationships with NASA/Center stakeholders
- Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish tasks
- Works under general supervision; typically reports to a team lead or supervisor
- Research, strategize, integrate, and execute communication strategies, plans, and message management processes
- Develop and implement communication plans for utilization across a variety of platforms
- Write and edit communication products
- Coordinate and integrate communication approaches and products across multiple communication disciplines and platforms
- Generate routine and/or ad-hoc reports for OCOMM management/OCOMM customers
- Directly interfacing with OCOMM management and/or OCOMM customers, as needed
- Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, writing, or other appropriate area of specialization from an accredited college or university
- Must have 5 years of relevant experience
- Proficient in oral and written communications, including writing and editing
- Advanced problem-solving skills

If required, employees must be able to operate a motor vehicle which may require sitting for prolonged periods of time to visit other company sites. Must have hearing and speech to communicate in person, before groups, and over the telephone. Standing in work areas and walking between work areas may be required. This position may require an employee to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb or balance, reach, push, and pull. The employee may also be required to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
