Overview:
The Mass Detection portfolio group provides globally recognized scientific leadership in the life, food, and materials sciences. Working as part of the team, you will have a focused project on market mapping and landscape analysis to help direct the development of innovative, workflow-based products and solutions, enabling our customers to solve critical analytical challenges and advance scientific understanding.
You will be part of our 2023 Global Intern Program and will be invited to attend virtual Power Hour sessions, roundtables hosted by members of our Executive Committee as well as joining local events on the site you are based. This is a great opportunity to learn more about Waters and the variety of roles we offer as well as learning more about the Life Sciences industry. You will be allocated a mentor alongside joining teams passionate about the work we do!
This is a paid internship for a period of 3 months over the summer period and we will have 4 intake dates which will be communicated to you during the course of your application.
It's a fully onsite role so you would need to be based near the Wilmslow site.

Responsibilities:
During your internship you will be working in the Discovery & Development business area based at Wilmslow and completing a project which will involve:
- Targeted research (primary and secondary)
- Synthesize researched information to provide a clear market landscape
- Presentation of results to management team
What are we looking for:
- Currently enrolled in an under-graduate or graduate degree in science (e.g. biological sciences, chemistry, physics, material science, etc.) or engineering.
- A passion for science, technology, and innovation
- Should have an interest in strategic marketing and/or market development
- Strong research skills with ability to engage with people from a broad educational background.
