Strategic Impact Assessment Manager
Glasgow
As a Barclays Strategic Impact Assessment Manager, you will manage the team that work with business and functional areas to understand and articulate the impacts and requirements of a given regulation which will underpin solution proposals. In this exciting opportunity, you will have the chance to ask the right questions to uncover root causes, whilst ensuring that Impact objectives align to these and that solutions are appropriately designed to comply with our regulatory commitments.

We are currently in the early stages of implementing a hybrid working environment, which means that many colleagues spend part of their working hours at home and part in the office, depending on the nature of the role they are in. We’re flexible on how this works and it may continue to change and evolve. Depending on your team, typically this means that colleagues spend a minimum of between 20% to 60% of their time in the office, which could be over a week, a month or a quarter. However, some colleagues may choose to spend more time in the office over a typical period than their role type requires. We also have a flexible working process where, subject to business needs, all colleagues globally are able to request work patterns to reflect their personal circumstances. • Working with stakeholders across risk, data & technology and the business to help define business processes and operating model decisions for priority use cases
- Assisting with coordination of Business Solutions activities including
- Structuring benefits assessment and quantifying impact of technology changes impacted businesses and functions
- Interlocking with in-flight internal programmes and investments to ensure alignment with business priorities and standards
- Providing inputs to senior programme forums as and when required
- Working on specifications and requirements management
- Bridging the gap between the technical and non-technical change
• An experienced stakeholder manager with the ability to handle negotiations and relationship development skills
- Can analyse large volumes of data to identify specific trends and insights and effectively interpret to communicate with key stakeholders
- The ability to articulate business outcomes, features and elaborate user stories that support teams in delivery of functional requirements
- The ability to effectively communicate with, influence and manage stakeholders at all levels, taking account of their levels of influence and interest
• The ability to master and navigate new subject domains quickly
- Experience working in Corporate and/or Investment Banking experience
- The ability to navigate a cross-functional and/or multi-regional environment
- Experience working on large change programmes on strategic business priorities
