We are recruiting for a Stores & Supply Chain Assistant

Duties and responsibilities of the role include, but not limited to:

  • Purchaseand distribute parts and materials to specification using the correct process
  • Completequality inspection of delivered goods and document
  • Updatecost analysis on all suppliers in a timely manner
  • Co-ordinatethe collection, delivery and transportation of parts, materials and returnedgoods
  • Supportthe maintenance of company vehicles including MOT, servicing and repairensuring compliance with lease conditions and regulations. Also ensure vehiclesare available when required and booking process is followed
  • Liaisewith insurance companies including, arranging vehicle insurance, dealing withclaims and changes to drivers and vehicles
  • Replenishstock to agreed levels
  • Supportregular stock checks to ensure accuracy of stock levels and appropriate levelsof stock holding
  • Update andadjust the stores catalogue
  • Co-ordinationof contractors whilst they are in the office building to ensure they complywith all Company requirements
  • Order andoversee the provision of PPE, tools, and tool sets, including management of thebudget, allocation, registration, and return. Ensure adequate stock levels are always maintained
  • For alldeliveries, promptly receipt and store goods, ensuring that the stores aretidy, organised and well maintained
  • Organisethe picking, packaging, and logistics of materials so that they are availableat the required time
  • Operateforklift loading and unloading goods in and out of the stores
  • Bookingtransport of pallets and parcels
  • CompleteSafety, Health, Environmental and Quality (SHEQ) administration tasks for theStores such as Risk Assessment Method Statements (RAMS) in collaboration with theSHEQ team
  • Supportwaste disposal process including metal, copper, cable, hazardous waste andcardboard
  • Supportthe management of hired equipment
  • Undertaketraining and inspections (e.g. harnesses, ladders, PPE)
  • Ensurepurchasing process is followed by all site staff
  • Ensure alltools, equipment and materials are pre-arranged and inspected prior to arrivalto site
  • Deputisefor Supply Chain & Logistics Manager when they are not available
  • Ensure alltools, equipment and material are kept in good working order and any defectsrectified in a timely manner
  • Build andmaintain relationships with our clients and supply chain partners
  • Proactivelyidentify any health and safety issues and remedy
  • Proactivelysuggest improvements and raise Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) as appropriate.
  • Identifyany potential issues/delays and escalate as appropriate
  • Provideproactive support and guidance to all parties on compliance with statutoryrequirements and Company standards
  • Complywith all Company policies, procedures and guidelines at all times
  • Ensuregood housekeeping is maintained at all times, especially with regard to healthand safety
  • Proactively look at ways toenhance the service offered by the business, and improve the effectiveness and efficiencyof company processes
  • Maintain a professionalimage at all times

Hereswhat you need to be successful in the role:

  • Provenattention to detail and able to demonstrate good oral and written communicationskills
  • Excellent organisationalskills with the ability to prioritise and multitask
  • A team player with aconfident and enthusiastic attitude
  • Proficientin the use of computer systems and Microsoft suite
  • Full UKdriving licence
  • Right towork within the UK without limitation
