We have long term placement opportunities available for Bank Dental Nurse Band 4 available at Chesterfield Royal Hospital specifically providing the following:
· To ensure that patients are at the centre of what we do
· To ensure that the department provides safe, effective, efficient and high-quality care for all patients, maintaining continuity of care from initial appointment to discharge
· To ensure that patients receive evidence-based care and promote & participate in audit, research and innovative practice
· To participate in practice developments to enhance the contribution and quality of care
· To deliver safe practice by adhering to and all relevant local, national and Professional standards.
· Assist the Lead Dental Nurse and Matron to monitor the standards of care, taking action to report where necessary to improve the delivery of care to patients
· To be responsible to correctly input patient’s credentials on to department’s databases systems, and various medical equipment databases. Help maintain the safe storage and retrieval of patient data. Use responsibly the Trust patients PAS system such as Medway.
· To be involved with and adopt any changes to maxillofacial and orthodontic services
Skills/Responsibilities:
To apply for this post, you will:
· Registered with the General Dental Council
· NEBDN National Diploma in Dental Nursing/or equivalent Plus
· Extensive Experienced Dental Nurse within an acute hospital or private setting
· Computer literate
· Experience of Orthodontics, Oral Surgery and Intravenous sedation
